SPRING IS ON THE WAY!! Besides some serious fire from Crooks & Castles, that includes board shorts, cargos, wovens and various sweatshirt styles, we received some NEW denim today from the one and only Billionaire Boys Club. We have 3 pair from season 10, style # 101-50-004 in vintage wash 2 just arrived today. Last but not least peep the latest from FAMOUS STARS & STRAPS which included a light duffel and 2 pairs of flip flops…stop in and get ready for the spring!

It has been a busy week here at FLOW, with new merchandise coming from some of our heaviest hitters , including CROOKS and CASTLES, SUPRA, TRUE RELIGION, as well as FAMOUS STARS AND STRAPS.. Our newest CROOKS selection features everything from tees, sweat pants, knits, and some beautiful leather jackets featuring a quilt patterned inside, these jackets are hot, limited, and ready for yous to rock to the club or even the grocery store, cuz you got it like that!! Not feeling the jackets? no problem, we have a wide variety of tees and knits to fill the void in anyone’s closet… our SUPRA selection is our best yet! after much anticipation and waiting we have the SKYTOP2, the original SKYTOP in brown suede (personally my favorite SUPRA’s to date) the DIXONS in navy suede, Rasta VAIDERS (high-tops and low-tops) and some promising CRUZIERS in Black and Silver, that I assure you, will not last long here on the shelves of FLOW. New this week to the wonderful world wide web, an in-depth discussion with a Mr. Travis Barker A.K.A. the man behind FAMOUS STARS AND STRAPS.. looking back on the past ten years of FSAS, and reflecting upon how and where the line comes from in Travis’s eyes, He states that he was inspired to start FSAS because growing up people were categorized but what they did IE. Skateboarding, surfing, BMX which in turn influenced how they dressed…where as Travis had his hand in a bit of everything and wanted to create something that all types of people could be “anything or anybody … any color, or any type of person could wear it.” He was also reminded of just how genuine as well as generous he is when told a story of when he was on a video shoot in Watts and was seen handing out tees to kids around the block, showing that fortune and fame didn’t turn him into any less of a humble good person… after all he says “ I was definitely that kid at one point, and I would’ve thought that was killer if someone would’ve hooked me up” pure class boys and girls… lastly we get an idea of what will come of FAMOUS STARS AND STRAPS in the future… Look forward to footwear, sunglasses, new cut and sew, as well as continuing to stay true to stuff they do. What can’t this guy do? Travis Barker never rests, his craft is the art of perfecting whatever he chooses to touch, from being the man behind FAMOUS STARS AND STRAPS, an unifying clothing brand that merges many different cultures into one, from punk, hip hop, gangsta rap, and extreme sports culture, Travis has it locked down! Not to mention having his hand in one of my personal favorite cookie jars ROGUE STATUS / DTA. But what Travis really loves to do, he loves to make music better and better, Having worked with everyone from T.I. , DJ AM (RIP), to Avril Lavigne, mastering his craft of drums and producing, With his ability to pick up ANY beat, and his drive to accomplish greater things through love of music, Travis has been dropping remix after remix for a good amount of years now. With the latest being “THE ONE” a Slaughterhouse FT. Bun B remix that shows seemingly just how natural the music comes to Mr. Barker, with practice comes perfection, and even though Travis would most likely never admit it, I feel everyone that knows the name Travis Barker, knows that he has become The Best Drummer ever, and undeniably one of the most all around cultured, humble, and hungry to entertain we, the people. Keep your eyes and ears open, because something tells me he is just getting warmed up still……. Thanks TRAVIS! Please keep doing what you do, modern day King Midas.

Im hooooooome!!!! Another MAGIC CONVENTION under my belt. While the vibe and the amount of people are far from the same as when I first started attending FIVE years ago, FLOW still had a productive time in  SIN CITY. We managed, once again, to do alot of networking and came away with some NEW brands we targeted and some we didnt.

Crooks N Castles, 10DEEP, Rebel 8 and Deadline had really strong lines and we are so happy to be working with them. Big Upps to JUNEBUG, whom I really enjoyed talking to. It was also way cool to meet JUNJIRO KANEKO from  Japan’s premier streewear store LAFAYETTE.

Look for a really strong presence from DTA on FANTASY FACTORY this season, a brand we’ve had since the the get go!!!!

Last, but not least, the love the people from REMETEE showed us was much appreciated. Thank you for all the knowledge you shared with us!!!!! We look forward to an exciting affiliation with you in a brand new direction.

In closing, the loss of DJAM was felt everywhere at MAGIC. He was scheduled to perform at the FAMOUS STARS AND STRAPS industry party before his untimely death and was definitely on everyone’s mind.

Big SHOUT OUT to Travis Barker and the boys from BLINK 182 who are in town tonight at the Marcus Amphitheater along with Fall Out Boy and Milwaukee’s own Chester French. Travis has always been one of the coolest people in the clothing industry and we have nothing but the utmost respect for him and the crew at FAMOUS STARS and STRAPS. When it comes to promoting a brand, FAMOUS STARS and STRAPS are one of the best.
