As you all know FLOW started off the festival season last week with our inaugural appearance at SUMMERCAMP.

It was surprising how many people had heard of us and  how high in demand our FLOW designed BREWER RASTA is.

It really is worthwhile when our people  come and socialize with us and tell us they appreciate what we are doing. So a big “THANKS” to all of our old supporters and our NEW one’s too!!!!

FLOW will be on the road quite a bit this summer so look for us at your favorite festival, we might actually be there!
In other news, we are proud to announce, that we will be involved in the after party of STS9 @ APT.720 on JULY 1st after their appearance at SUMMERFEST. This will be off the chain, so let us know if you need a VIP table, they will go fast.
It also looks like FLOW will be involved in doing a regular monthly THURSDAY night musical event with our downstairs neighbors APT.720. It will not be restricted to one genre of music but instead, will be as diverse as the people who shop with us. WE ARE ALL VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!!!

So any input on possible future acts is strongly recommended from you, the FLOW FAMILY. I am personally trying real hard to book the GZA. Liquid Swords is still one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time.
In apparel news, we are proud to announce that we have reupped with FIVEFOUR. We currently have a brand new very small selection that is super clean and just in time for the SUMMER months. Look for it real soon on the site or come on thru and check it in person.

Well folks, the FESTIVAL SEASON is finally upon us, and for those of us who love music, it is a welcome relief. FLOW’s first stop on the FESTIVAL trail begins today with SUMMERCAMP which features a wide variety of acts from WILLIE NELSON to METHOD MAN and REDMAN. Our presence will be felt with our mobile street team out in full force. Stop by our booth and hang out. You can also check out the latest FLOW has to offer in STREEWEAR FASHION for this summer.
Regardless, with the weather starting to shape up and everyones moral getting lifted, we hope the SUMMER of 09 turns out to be a GREAT one for each and everyone of you……….

We reached out to the Milwaukee, Wisconsin emcee Dana Coppafeel (a member of KingsHellBastard – KHB) when we saw that he was pushing some New Era fitted hats.

“Let me just start by saying designing New Era caps is a dream come true for me,” he said. “The THINK TANK KHB 59FIFTY New Era joints were inspired by the idea that a great mind can unite and form an ultimate weapon.”

The concept behind the Think Tank joints is dope and so is the design.

“This is our new movement for clothing, music and art. The logo is a thought bubble with tank treads and canon represents Think Tank (our production name). The idea of the logo came from a night of drinking,” he said. “We commissioned the artwork to a local graff kid in Milwaukee named Brazil. Once we told the idea he ran with it and the rest is history.”

According to Dana Coppafeel the process took over nine-months and included a lot of back and forth with New Era execs.

“It’s like having a kid,” he said. “We had a few problems at first with New Era because of some of the legal aspects.”

According to Dana Coppafeel, the first problem came up when New Era couldn’t reproduce the KHB Crown (they needed to show ownership of the design). Then there was a mailing issue that delayed things for two months.

But after all of the hard work and various meetings and back and forth conversations, the process is complete and the limited edition Think Tank joints are now available.

“We got two hats, 36 of each in the whole wide world, so they are mad limited. You will not find these in any store. One is black and teal and the other is Teal and Red. They’re $60 each,” he said. “We’re going to keep them exclusive. We’re doing stuff limited for the heads and collectors.”
